Ah you're reading this which means that you have seen my new blog! Exciting right?! This blog, I hope, my reader (you) will gain a broader understanding of who I am and how God has played such a vitol role in who I have become. My favorite part is my "Up to Date" button because I can share with you the adventures college brings to me. I love adventures, alot!

This morning in my 90-day devotion centered on David, written by Beth Moore, I had read and journaled on Hannah. A woman childless, tormented, and alone; yet she still "wept much and prayed to the Lord." (1 Sam. 1:10) Then following my devotion, I decided to read a chapter, titled "A Woman of Hope," from the book Kingdom Woman. In this chapter I read and journaled on the woman in Luke who, for eighteen years, had a bent/hurt back causing her to look down; yet she was found in church always singing praises and praying to the Lord. So is this God's way of telling me something??? Or trying to reveal something in my life or a life of a loved one??? Two women, not healthy, but still devoting their full undivided attention to the Lord. Quite remarkable if I say so myself..

Today is Wednesday and the countdown begins. Heading back down to Los Angeles Friday and Spring semester starting Tuesday, therefore the business and chaos will check in very soon. Maybe sooner than I would hope. This semester in particular is going to be hours and hours of classes, not to mention the time spent in the library accomplishing countless of papers; cheers to a journalism major! Right now I think God is saying, Hannah and the woman from Luke went through pain, physically and emotionally, yet they still had their focus on Him. Literally, the woman couldn't even look up, though her focus was towards the Heavens. Despite my 17 credits and chaotic college schedule, I NEED to let faith arise. Nothing is impossible, He's the God of miracles. He will not give me anything I cannot handle. As easy as it may be to try and think I can conquer this semester on my own, I firmly believe God is going to give me a nudge and say, "Mekenna I got this." Love incarnate, Love divine. When I think of love being incarnated, my perception is when Heaven is touching earth and it becomes evident. If the Lord has enough power to let the Spirit break out then He has enough power to help me conquer this next semester. Although there are many trials faced in the world, I know a chaotic schedule doesn't compare. Whether it be a busy work load, fighting depression, or even fighting a disease, He is present. Minor or major, He will not abandon or forsake you! A woman of hope is a woman that doesn't know the specifics but remains faithful. I think this is what Jesus was whispering into my ear this morning. Be hopeful and remain devoted because He has everything under control.

I am grateful and He is gracious. Happy day!

XO
